The Shining Room

The tears of joy
The smiles of gloom

The rain at roof
The fear of doom

They all fill our lives
They all we assume...

The fragrance of friendship
The petals of bloom

The girl with a smile
My mother with a broom
(Love you Ammi!)

They all fill our lives
They all we assume...

And now that we live with them
And now that we die for them

I welcome you to this world
I welcome you to its shining room!

Kuchh Raaz Chhupaye Baitha Hu.....

Band Darwaze ke Peechhe,
Kuchh Raaz Chhupaye baitha hu,

Karta hu Inkaar Jiska,
Wo Ikraar Chhupaye baitha hu,

Kar na paya Izhaar jo,
To Anjaam ye hua 'Danish',

Ki Rokar aaya hu Abhi,
Aur ye Haalaat Chhupaye baitha hu,

Apne Jo the hue Begaane Humse,
Ye Jazbaat Chhupaye baitha hu,

Kisko Apna Kahu Jahaa Mein?
Ye Armaan Chhupaye baitha hu

Band Darwaze ke Peechhe,
Kuchh Raaz Chhupaye baitha hu........

Shukriya
- Aapka 'Danish'

Zindagi Dosti Hai

(Dedicated to all my Dear Friends at AGCS, KV Delhi, ZHC(DU), NIA, SUD)

Raho Me Chalte Chalte Thak To Jate Hain Zaroor,
Par Kuchh Dost Aise Hain ki Aziyato* ka Pata Nahi Chalta.

In Roshan Si Fizaao me Aap ka Asar bhi  Khoob Hai,
Ki Roshni me Aapki Chandni ka Pata Nahi Chalta.

Saans to leta beshak hai 'Danish',
Par Aap Na Ho to Zindgai ka Pata Nahi Chalta.

VOCAB *Aziyato is plural form of 'Aziyat' which means Torture/Adversities.

CONTEXT - Yes, you might have heard it from me on few occassions mostly at NIA -Freshers Party, Mr. Technikallah Event at NICMAR (memories attached below),  Farewell aur Haan Jab Kuchh Samajh me Nahi Aata :)
But this one is so close to me as a pristine, grateful gesture to all of you, dear friends. Thank you!

Hope you liked it. Do drop down your comments to improve upon or the topics you would like me to reflect in the poetry. Keep watching this space for more. And yes, there's a poll for you (at RHS).
Shukriya - Aapka Danish
